How to select contacts to print
top
You must first determine what type of contacts you want to print:
individual
or organization. You cannot print both individual and organization contacts
simultaneously.
When you add contacts to the print list you can select
contacts from all address books including the permanent
address books (All Individuals, All Organizations,
Search Results).
First, select the address book from the combo box that contains the
contact(s)
that you want to print. Then select the contact(s) from the contact list that
you want to print. Multiple contacts can be selected. Then click the "Add >"
button to add the selected contacts to the print list. You can add all contacts
in the contacts list by clicking the "Add All" button. To remove a contact from
the print list select the contact(s) to remove and either click the "Remove"
button located under the print list, right click the selected contact(s) and
click "Remove" or press the "delete" key. To remove all contacts from the
print list either click the
"Remove All" button or right click the Print List and click "Remove All".
Continue this process until the print list contains the contacts that you
want to print.
If you are printing individual contacts you can sort the contacts
in the print list by first or last name. When the print
list is complete click the "Print..." button to open the Print Options
dialog.

The Print Options dialog allows you to select what contact information to print
and customize page header information. Below is an explanation of the items on
the Print Options dialog.
- Contact Information to Print - Based on the type of contact being printed, this area will
look slightly different.
- For individual contacts, you can select the information you want to be included
as part of the name. The 3 fields that can be included as part of the name
are title, middle name and suffix. The Fields to Print section contains the
rest of the fields pertaining to an individual contact. Select the field(s)
that you would like to be printed. Note: The name for an individual
contact
with a combined name (ie. John and Jane Doe) will be printed as "JOHN AND
JANE DOE (JOHN DOE'S INFO)" where Jane is the spouse and John is the main
contact.
- For organization contacts, you select field(s) pertaining to an
organization contact you want to print.
- For both individual and organization contacts, click the "Select All" button
to select all fields or click the "Clear All" button to clear all fields.
- Note: A field for a contact will be printed only if that particular
contact
provided data for the field. Otherwise, the field will not be printed. For
example, if you select the nickname field and John Doe
doesn't have a nickname then the nickname field will not be printed.
- Header - Lets you determine whether the date and/or page number will be
printed on
each page. By default, both options are selected.
- Title - Allows you to enter the title for the first page printed and
determine it's orientation (left, center or right) on the page. The
title is optional and can be left blank. By default, the title is left
blank.
After selecting the print options click the "OK" button. A Print
dialog will appear allowing you to select the printer
to use, number of copies etc. Select your Print dialog's print button (may be
labeled "Print" or "OK") to print the contacts.

Note: Contacts can be printed on letter size paper (8.5 x 11in) ONLY.
