Advance search allows you to enter the word
or phrase to search for and the contact field(s) to search. Click the "Select
Fields..." button to select the fields to search. When you enter 2 search
criteria you have the option of selecting "and" or "or". The "and" options means
that a contact must meet both search criteria. The "or" options means that a
contact must meet the first or the second search criteria. Unlike the
Quick Search Mode you must click the "Find" button to
perform the search.
Note: Each search criteria can
have a different set of contact fields that are search.

Letter filter
top
The letter filter (located just above the contact
tree view) allows you to view certain contacts for the
currently selected tab based on the letter you select. All contacts for
the currently selected tab can be shown by selecting "ALL". To select
a letter click the
just to
the left of the currently selected letter. This will pop up a window that allows
you to select any letter of the alphabet or "ALL" to show all contacts.
The "#" selection is for contacts whose names begin with characters that are not
letters (0 - 9, -, etc.).
The individual contacts shown depends on the way
individual
contacts are sorted. If individual contacts are sorted by last name, all
contacts whose last name begins with the letter selected will be shown. If
individual contacts are sorted by first name, all contacts whose first name
begins with the letter selected will be shown. The order in which individual contacts are sorted can be changed in the
user preferences.
